Hello, I’m Sof.
And this is the story of how a van, a dream, and a lot of heart built something I never could have imagined.

For over 14 years, I worked in healthcare, across both the NHS and private sector, helping people through some of the most important moments of their lives.
It was more than just a career it was who I was.
Caring for people was all I knew, and all I ever wanted to do.

Then came COVID-19.
Like so many others, I found myself at a crossroads, facing choices I never thought I’d have to make.
At the same time, my wife and I were holding onto a very personal dream! Something we had wished and worked towards for many years: the hope of starting a family.
With so much uncertainty in the world, I chose to listen to my heart and take a different path.
It wasn’t an easy decision.
It meant walking away from the career I loved, stepping into the unknown, and starting again from scratch.

All I had was an old van, my two hands, and a heart full of hope.

The first job was simple a neighbour needed help moving.
I showed up, loaded the van carefully, listened, and made sure everything arrived just right.
That day wasn’t just about boxes it was about trust, kindness, and making a difficult day a little easier for someone else.

And just like that, Goosnargh Removals was born.

Word of mouth travelled fast in our little corner of the world Goosnargh, Preston, and the beautiful villages around us.
People didn’t just want a man with a van.
They wanted someone who understood that moving isn’t just logistics it’s emotions, memories, and dreams wrapped in cardboard and bubble wrap.

The early days weren’t easy.
There were tough mornings, long nights, and moments when I wondered if I’d made a mistake.
But my friends, my family, and those first incredible customers stood by me.
They trusted me.
They believed in me.
And because of them, I kept going.

Then, in the middle of it all, life gave us the most beautiful gift.

After years of hoping and dreaming, our family grew naturally, without all the plans we thought we’d need.
We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world.
Today, she’s three years old, with laughter that fills every room and a spirit that reminds me every day why I took that leap of faith.

She’s the reason behind every mile driven, every heavy lift, every early morning start.
She’s my everything and because of her, every move we do at Goosnargh Removals is filled with even more care and heart.

Today, Goosnargh Removals has grown into a trusted, experienced team.
We’re proud to say we can handle any type of move from single-item collections, local house moves in Preston, to full-scale relocations across the UK.
No job is too big or too small when it’s done with the right attitude and heart.

We still approach every move with the same personal care and pride we did on day one because to us, every move is more than just a job.
It’s the start of a new chapter in someone’s life.
